Curriculum

At Long Marston Church of England Primary School our aim is to provide a broad, balanced, differentiated, progressive and relevant curriculum which is unique to our school.

  • We are a family who encourage children to be responsible and independent. We work closely with an alliance of other schools to ensure the best for all the children in our care and provide sustainability for schools like ours which are small ... but have big ideas!
  • Our inclusive, holistic approach allows children to achieve their full potential socially, morally, academically and physically. We offer flexible personalised learning opportunities which recognise individual talents and skills and foster a culture of high expectations and strong self-belief. We follow and promote Christian Values so that each person in our school can become a responsible citizen.
  • We have a strong focus on outdoor learning, eco schools and horticulture and we are proud to take a lead throughout the area in Forest Schools, providing training and guidance in our extensive grounds.
  • Creativity and confidence are closely nurtured. Knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes are developed during the learning journey.
  • We believe in first hand experiences and endeavour to ensure children are life ready. We are passionate about life skills, enterprise, music, sport and understanding the major issues of our time.
  • We open the eyes of the children to the wonders of the world. We celebrate our own environment, provide a national and international perspective and keenly foster a love of life and learning.
