Spending plan: catch up premium received will be spent on additional support staff hours to enable our mixed-age classes to split into smaller year/phase groups for many English and Maths sessions. As a school we are already investing in this and the catch up premium will fund additional hours.  We feel this will give benefits to all our pupils, allowing them to work in smaller groups with direct teaching.

Assessing the effect of this spending:  As this will benefit all pupils, we will continue with our usual approach of teacher assessment to measure progress throughout the year.  The additional hours of extra staffing cannot be measured as a single stand alone teaching and learning approach and the effect cannot be measured in isolation.
